Terry Knows Bangor's Challenges Because He's Been Working in the Middle of Them.
As founder and pastor of The Mansion Church, a Penobscot County Jail chaplain, and a longtime advocate for people affected by homelessness, addiction, and incarceration, Terry has spent years working directly with people in crisis.
His decision to run for City Council comes from what he has seen firsthand — growing drug activity, discarded needles, homelessness, serious mental illness, public-safety concerns, rising property taxes, and families struggling to find affordable housing.
A Safer Bangor
Bangor residents should feel safe in their neighborhoods, parks, businesses, and downtown. Terry supports the men and women of law enforcement and wants Bangor to confront drug activity, reduce discarded needles, and give public-safety professionals the tools they need to do their jobs effectively.

Three Priorities for a Stronger Bangor
Compassion With Accountability
Homelessness, addiction, and serious mental illness cannot be solved by ignoring them — or by simply moving people from one place to another. Terry supports treatment, recovery, mental-health intervention, and pathways toward stable housing while working to break the cycle that repeatedly returns people to the street or jail.
A Stronger Bangor
Terry wants a city government that respects taxpayers, attracts businesses, encourages new housing, and makes better use of Bangor's economic assets. That means disciplined budgeting, a broader tax base, more opportunities for development, and a renewed vision for places like Bangor's waterfront.

Ministry & Reentry
Terry founded the ministry that became The Mansion Church out of work serving incarcerated men and people rebuilding their lives after jail.
Winter Warming Center
Since 2020, The Mansion has operated a recurring winter warming center serving people experiencing homelessness in Bangor.
Jail Ministry
Terry has spent years ministering inside the Penobscot County Jail and working with people affected by addiction, incarceration, and reentry.
Speaking Up for Bangor
Before becoming a candidate, Terry had already addressed Bangor City Council about homelessness, mental illness, drug trafficking, and the need for adequate police resources.
